Hashtag campaign to support Jin Jiyan Azadî revolution in Rojhelat, Iran

Virtual media pioneers and activists launched the hashtag campaign #JinJiyanAzadî, on the occasion of the first anniversary of the killing of the young Kurdish woman, Jina Amini, and the Jin, Jiyan, Azadî uprising, in Rojhalat (eastern Kurdistan) and Iran.

Today (September 16 of this year) marks the first anniversary of the killing of the young Kurdish woman, Jina Amini (22 years old)by “moral police” of the Iranian state.

Falak Naz Oca, an activist in the Free Women's Movement (TJA) and co-chair of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), wrote on X, “We will escalate the struggle for women’s freedom,” accompanied by the hashtag #JinJiyanAzadî, and a photo of Jina Amini.

“In order to defend the rights of women everywhere and raise the banner of victory and freedom,”  the official website of YPJ wrote on X platform.

Parliamentarian from the leftist Green Party, Omar Ocalan, published a picture of Jina Amini, writing on it, saying: “For a free society and a free woman.”

A page named Ronahi also participated in the hashtag and published a picture of two women dressed in Kurdish clothing, holding up a banner reading “Jin, Jiyan, Azadî,” and “Women teach the philosophy of life.”

The hashtag campaign, which was launched on Friday night at 8:00 Qamishlo time, continues until today until 8:00.
