On the 27th of last August, the Syrian Democratic Forces launched a “Security Enhancement” operation against ISIS sleeper cells, mercenaries linked to external forces and drug networks, in the Deir ez-Zor region and the eastern bank of the Euphrates River. Within 11 days of the operation, many mercenaries were killed and arrested, and the 95 percent of the Deir ez-Zor region and the eastern bank of the Euphrates River are mercenaries, while the Turkish occupation state escalated its attacks on the regions of NE, Syria in conjunction with the operation, and the military councils’ response to these attacks resulted in the killing of dozens of mercenaries.

In this context, we present to you here the most important events and developments that took place from the beginning of the launch of the operation until now, day by day.

First day

The Syrian Democratic Forces achieved the objectives of the operation in the third axis, "the western countryside of Deir ez-Zor," which resulted in the arrest of 5 ISIS mercenaries and 8 drug dealers, and the killing of 3 people who attacked the operation forces.

Three hours after the launch of the operation, the Turkish occupation state bombed the village of Umm al-Kif, located in the western countryside of Tal Tamr district, with heavy weapons.

the second day

On the second day of its operation, the Syrian Democratic Forces focused on the northern and eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, and announced that the operation targeted those who attacked the operation’s forces, drug traffickers, and people who oppressed civilians and committed unjust practices against them.

Three ISIS mercenaries were arrested on the road between Al-Izbah and Koniko in the first axis, “the northern countryside of Deir ez-Zor”, and the raids resulted in the arrest of two drug dealers and the seizure of a quantity of drugs in their possession.

At the same time, the Turkish occupation state resumed its bombing of the villages of Tal Tamr with heavy weapons.

the third day

The operation forces were subjected to an armed attack by the mercenaries in the village of Sa'ada located in the northern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, which resulted in the martyrdom of a fighter in the Syrian Democratic Forces, and the injury of a number of citizens who were present at the site of the attack, while the response of the Syrian Democratic Forces to the attacks and the pursuit of the attackers resulted in throwing 3 ISIS mercenaries, including a leader, were arrested.

The Syrian Democratic Forces strengthened security measures and expanded the scope of the operation.

An armed march of the Turkish occupation state bombed the village of Maranaz in the Shara district in occupied Afrin.

the fourth day

The operation continued in the first axis, “the northern countryside of Deir ez-Zor,” in addition to parts of the second axis, “the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.”

The Deir ez-Zor Military Council of the Syrian Democratic Forces announced its removal of Ahmed al-Khubail from the position of leadership of the council, for committing crimes against the people of the region and being involved in drug trafficking.

During its first four days, the operation resulted in the arrest of 11 ISIS mercenaries and 10 drug traffickers, and the killing of 3 attackers.

The Turkish occupation army bombed the villages of Tal Tamr again.

The fifth day

The Syrian Democratic Forces took some measures to defeat the armed groups that crossed into eastern Deir ez-Zor from the western bank of the Euphrates River. According to a statement by the Syrian Democratic Forces, groups affiliated with the Damascus government sent weapons and ammunition to the armed groups in an attempt to stir up strife in the region.

The mercenaries who crossed to Jdeidet Al Akidat fled to regime areas located on the western bank of the Euphrates River again.

The Turkish occupation state bombed the village of Dardara in the Tal Tamr district with heavy weapons.

the sixth day

Operation forces targeted the mercenaries who infiltrated the areas of Jdaidet Al-Bakara and Jadeidat Al-Akidat from the western bank of the Euphrates River, which are under the control of the Damascus government, while clashes broke out between the Syrian Democratic Forces and the armed groups in the villages of Al-Shuhail and Dhiban.

The operation forces finished combing the village of Al-Dahla and parts of the town of Al-Busira.

5 of Nawaf al-Bashir's mercenaries who infiltrated the area were killed.

Mercenaries looted civilian homes and service institutions.

Manbij Military Council and the Internal Security Forces declared a curfew to protect civilians and their property from the mercenaries' oppression.

The Manbij Military Council thwarted several attacks by the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries on several villages located in the northern and western countryside of Manbij, and the attacks resulted in the death of 4 children from one family, and the injury of another citizen

the seventh day

Nawaf al-Bashir's mercenaries looted the equipment of the water purification station in the village of Dhiban, located in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor. They stole water tanks, broke the station's doors and windows, and burned the electric generator.

The mines planted on both sides of the road leading to the village of Hawaij Bumasaa, located in the western countryside of Deir ez-Zor, were dismantled.

The Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries bombed the villages of Tal Tamr, Manbij, the western countryside of Girê Spi, and al-Shahba. The mercenary attacks on the villages of Manbij resulted in the death of a woman and the injury of another woman, in addition to their kidnapping of two brothers.

An armed drone belonging to the Turkish occupation state bombed a car on the road between Girkê Legê and Derik, near the Dokirka village junction.

The eighth day

The Syrian Democratic Forces responded to the call of the people of the town of Busira and cleared the town of terrorist groups.

The Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries attacked the villages of Tal Tamr, Ain Issa, Zerghan, and al-Shahba, killing 11 members of the Damascus government forces, in addition to killing 39 mercenaries and wounding 8 others.

The ninth day

The Syrian Democratic Forces began combing the town of Al-Shuhil, located in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, after clearing it of mercenaries.

The Turkish occupation army bombed the villages of Ain Issa, Manbij, Al-Bab, Al-Shahba and Tal Tamr, and our forces’ response to these attacks resulted in the destruction of a Turkish army vehicle, the seizure of an armored vehicle and the downing of a drone, in addition to the killing of 4 mercenaries.

A mine explosion in Manbij caused material damage.

the tenth day

The mercenaries of Nawaf al-Bashir and the National Defense destroyed the shrine of the Euphrates Martyrs located in the town of Hajin and the nearby al-Shaitat mosque and looted their contents.

The Syrian Democratic Forces purified the village of Al-Hawij and large parts of the village of Al-Tayana and the town of Theban in Deir-ez-Zor, killing 18 mercenaries, and arresting 4 members of the National Defense.

The Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries bombed the villages of Tal Rifaat and Al-Bab.

The Turkish occupation's bombing of the village of Hawija, located in the eastern countryside of Ain Issa, resulted in the injury of Khalil Ibrahim Al-Hamad (23 years old).

Eleventh day

The Manbij Military Council announced that the Turkish occupation state had evacuated the villages located in the western and northern countryside of Manbij of their residents and deployed the mercenaries of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham there.

The Turkish occupation state attacked Ain Issa and Manbij.

A car was targeted on Jarablus Road in the city of Manbij.

Dhiban village has been completely cleared.
