co-chair of the Deir ez-Zor Civil Council: Our SDF forces seek to establish security

Since August 27, areas of Deir ez-Zor have witnessed a “Security Enhancement” operation targeting ISIS mercenary cells, drug dealers and outlaws, launched by the Syrian Democratic Forces on the eastern bank of the Euphrates River.

The co-chair of the Deir ez-Zor Civil Council, Fatima Marwan, assessed the situation in Deir ez-Zor in light of the continuing process of “Security Enhancement” and the attempt of some parties to stir up strife and incite against the SDF.

In this regard, Fatima Marwan explained to ANHA's agency that “what the region is going through are external conspiracies and agendas working to destabilize security and stability in the region, create discord among the people, and demonstrate the military operation launched by the Syrian Democratic Forces, which was carried out to establish security and stability in the region and fight external agendas and cells, on "It is a conflict between us and our people and our people."

She noted that "the Syrian Democratic Forces operation came to preserve his freedom and dignity and not allow external agendas and cells to tamper with the revolution in North and East Syria."

She stressed, "We, the people of Deir ez-Zor, are committed to standing by the Syrian Democratic Forces and support their efforts to establish security and stability. We will preserve the gains achieved with the blood of the martyrs, and we call on our people and notables to rally around the Syrian Democratic Forces and support them in the process of Security Enhancement."

The co-chair of the Deir ez-Zor Civil Council explained that “the people themselves are aware of the things being hatched in Deir ez-Zor and the cells and agendas that are working to destabilize security and stability in the region,” adding: “Our people have today become eyewitnesses to those who supported terrorism in Syria and those who fought terrorism in Syria, which is the Syrian Democratic Forces.

Regarding the internal situation in Deir ez-Zor, she revealed that “there is no displacement in Deir ez-Zor, and there is no one displaced or leaving home.”

She added, "We are in the Deir ez-Zor Civil Council, and in the event of a displacement of people, we are committed to our children and our people and to providing all their needs."

She called on the people and notables of the region to fight the ideas of foreign agendas that work to destabilize security and stability.

The co-chair of the Deir ez-Zor Civil Council, Fatima Marwan, also confirmed that “the Deir ez-Zor Civil Council and all its committees are working to educate the people.”
