SDF: Turkish occupation spreads false news to prepare the ground for an attack

On Tuesday, the Media Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces issued a written statement, confirming that what was published by the Ministry of Defense of the Turkish occupation state about the martyrdom of 13 SDF fighters in Afrin are just baseless lies.

It explained that this comes in the context of "the private war waged by the Turkish occupation state against our people, and it has absolutely nothing to do with the facts on the ground."

The text of the statement read:

"The plans of the Turkish occupation state to occupy the regions of NE,Syria have been exposed more during these days, as it resorted to using all dirty methods to implement this scheme. Through false and misleading information, it tried to influence public opinion to obstruct the process of "Security Enhancement" that we launched in Deir-ez-Zor against its mercenaries. “ISIS” and drug dealers, but the attempts of the Turkish occupation state failed.

Also in this process, it became clear that the Turkish occupation state, in addition to other powers, provided support to mercenaries and drug dealers.

Our forces' operations continued with success, and when the Turkish occupation state did not achieve its goals in Manbij and other areas, it resorted to targeting civilians, and bombarding the area every day with heavy weapons, in order to push the people to leave their areas. The Turkish occupation state hoped to achieve results from these attacks, but it failed, and this time it also used the method of spreading false information through the Ministry of Defense.

The aims of spreading false news is only to prepare the ground and prepare for launching an attack on the region, and to implement its occupation plan.

Recently, and according to the information published by the Ministry of Defense of the Turkish occupation state, it comes in the context of the private war it is waging against our people, and it has absolutely nothing to do with the facts on the ground.

Its claims of the martyrdom of 13 of our fighters, on the 25th and 29th of last August, and also on the 4th of September, during the attempts of our forces in Afrin to launch attacks on the points of the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries, are just unfounded lies, and as we have made clear in our previous statements as well, There is no stationing of our forces in or around Afrin, and we have not carried out any operations against the Turkish occupation army and its affiliated groups in this region.

We hope that the public opinion will not trust the lies of the Turkish occupation state, and that no one will pay attention to this fabricated and misleading information, for the sake of personal safety and the protection of society.
