The Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries continue to commit crimes against the residents of the occupied Afrin canton, including killing, kidnapping and rape, and changing its demography and features by cutting down trees and burning agricultural lands and forests before the eyes of the world.

According to the Human Rights Organization Afrin-Syria, the past month of August witnessed the killing of Ali Nuri, 65, from the village of Anqla, in the Shia district of the occupied Afrin canton.

Where he was run over by a military vehicle of the "Al-Amshat" mercenaries of the Turkish occupation while he was riding his motorcycle on the road between the center of Shia district and the village of Angla.

62 citizens were kidnapped

The Turkish occupation and its mercenaries also kidnapped 62 citizens, including 6 women, one of whom was raped by the mercenaries.

According to the organization, the majority of these abductees are returnees to the occupied Afrin canton, after being deceived by the false calls and promises made by the Kurdish National Council to return to Afrin.

The occupation, its mercenaries, and settlers cut down 450 olive, forest, and fruit trees and burned them, in addition to burning tens of thousands of hectares of agricultural land and forest forests.

4 settlements

The Turkish occupation state continues the demographic change in occupied Afrin, as it finished last August building a settlement called “Ahl al-Khair” with the support of the so-called “Al-Sawasiya Organization” and the “International Foundation for Social Development and Human Support SDI”, near the village of Kafr Rom in Shara district, And it began to settle the families of its mercenaries there, as it includes 100 settlement units.

While the occupying power began building a new settlement near the village of Al-Ghazawiya in Sherawa district with the support of Gulf organizations (which is a prefabricated house), the human rights organization Afrin - Syria did not know the number of buildings and their settlement units.

It also started building another settlement north of the Kuit Al-Rahma settlement located in Janders district, and started building another settlement near the Maryamin area of Sherawa district.

The Turkish occupation continues to commit crimes against the people of Afrin canton to intimidate them and push them towards displacement and change the demography of the canton, according to observers.
