​​​​​​​Notables of NE, Syria: We will not tolerate attempts to destabilize security

The body, which includes notables and sheikhs of Arab, Kurdish and Syriac tribes, warned,Wednesday, during a statement it made to public opinion, in the body’s building in the city of Qamishlo in Jazira region, not to be drawn into the seditions launched in order to destabilize security and safety.

The statement, which was delivered by a member of the Council of Notables of North and East Syria, Hussein Al-Sada, stated that: “At a time when the Syrian Democratic Forces are working to enhance security and stability and cleanse Deir ez-Zor of ISIS terrorist cells, and element those who broke the law, drug smugglers, and those involved from the Deir ez-Zor Military Council, which they were seduced by greed, and we call on our fellow citizens not to be drawn into sedition under any name.”

The statement appealed to the Arab and Kurdish tribes and clans and all components of the region "to ensure civil peace and co-existence."

The statement stressed: "Everyone must not tolerate the violators who are trying to destabilize and take up arms in the face of our forces, the Syrian Democratic Forces, and bear responsibility. The beneficiaries of destabilization are the remnants of ISIS, the Turkish regime, and its mercenary aides."

The statement concluded with the attendees chanting the slogans “Long live the brotherhood of peoples,” “Long live the Syrian Democratic Forces,” and “Shame and disgrace to the traitors.”

On August 27, the Syrian Democratic Forces launched an operation to “enhance security” in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor and al-Hasakah, in cooperation with the International Coalition Forces. Based on calls from tribal elders and people of the region to eliminate ISIS mercenary cells and attempts to destabilize security in the region.
