Causalities of Damascus government forces in the southern countryside of Idlib

The mercenaries of the so-called "Ansar al-Tawhid al-Jihadi" carried out an commando operation against positions of the Damascus government forces and militiamen loyal to it, on the Malaga axis in the southern countryside of Idlib," according to what the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported.

SOHR indicated that the mercenaries blew up a tunnel for the Damascus government forces, followed by an attack and violent clashes, which led to the death of 5 Damascus government forces, as a preliminary outcome, and the injury of more than 20 others with varying injuries.

While the Observatory confirmed that the death toll is likely to rise due to the presence of serious cases among the wounded, in addition to the presence of information about other dead people.

The Syrian Observatory also issued the death toll of soldiers and civilians in the De-escalation zone since the beginning of 2023, as the death toll rose to 317, during 224 operations that varied between attacks, sniping operations, clashes, and targeting.
