Jamal Rashid: There is no return to Afrin in the presence of Turkish occupation

The deputy co-chairmanship of Afrin and al-Shahba Canton Council has confirmed that they are not against returning to Afrin canton, but without Turkish occupation, stressing that US sanctions against the leaders of two mercenary groups are not sufficient to decry the Turkish occupation crimes and all mercenary groups against occupied Afrin residents.

On August 17, the US Treasury issued sanctions against the "Sultan Suleiman Shah" mercenaries, known as "Al -Amshat" and the "Al -Hamzat" mercenaries of the Turkish occupation, for committing severe human rights violations in occupied Afrin related to kidnapping, severe physical violations and rape.

The US State Department spokesman, Matthew Miller, said on August 2 that what Turkey is doing in Afrin is not considered a demographic change.

On that, the deputy co-chairmanship of the Afrin Canton Council and the Shahba, Jamal Rashid, stated in a brief statement to ANHA's agency, that the imposition of sanctions by the US Treasury against the two mercenaries of "Sultan Suleiman Shah" and "Al -Hamzat" are somewhat good, but it is not enough to condemn the crimes against the indigenous residents of Afrin.

He stressed that the crimes committed by mercenary groups in occupied Afrin are carried out directly by the Turkish occupation state that funded "terrorism" in Syria since the beginning of the crisis, but due to the harmony of international policies, international decisions have not been issued against the Turkish occupation in Afrin.

Rashid added: "There are dozens of mercenary groups that commit war crimes and crimes against humanity in occupied Afrin, under the direct supervision of the Turkish occupation authorities, and not only by two groups."

The deputy co-chairmanship of the Afrin Canton and al -Shahba Canton Council said that the sanctions imposed by the US Treasury against two groups to some extent legitimize the crimes of the Turkish state and other mercenary groups against the residents of the occupied Afrin canton.

He noted: "If there are penalties, then it must first be imposed on the right of the Turkish occupation state and all mercenary groups."

Rashid pointed out that since the occupation of the occupied canton of Afrin by Turkey and its mercenary groups and committing all kinds of crimes against the indigenous people at all levels, international organizations have not issued any statement condemning these crimes against civilians in the occupied Afrin.

Everyone who returns to Afrin is kidnapped

In conjunction with the processes of misleading the so -called Kurdish National Council Enks and its supporter of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in coordination with the Turkish intelligence MIT, to return to occupied Afrin, Jamal Rashid confirmed that they documented dozens of kidnappings that affected everyone who returned to his village.

Rashid pointed out that complete families before they arrived in Afrin were kidnapped by the mercenary groups of the Turkish occupation, and there are dozens of citizens who were robbed of their property and were prevented from staying in their homes.

Rashid explained that the practices of the so -called Kurdish National Council ENKS exceeded the stage of treason, and they practiced and contributed to the crimes against the people of Afrin, with the aim of undermining the resistance and will of the IDPs of Afrin in al -Shahba.

We are not against returning to Afrin

Jamal Rashid, IDP from Afrin in al -Shahba, warned against returning to Afrin in the presence of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries, stressing that the fate of everyone returning to Afrin is killing or kidnapping.

Rashid stressed that they are not against the return to Afrin, but without the presence of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries, noting: "If there is a return, it will be a collective return after the expulsion of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries."
