Christopher Miller: Camps, prisons of NE Syria requires more support

The former US Secretary of Defense, who was appointed by proxy under President Trump, "Christopher Miller" confirmed during his visit to NE Syria that the issue of ISIS prison camps and private prisons to detain ISIS requires greater support and needs more efforts.

Christopher Miller visited NE Syria last Wednesday, August 16, to hold a series of meetings, including his meeting with the Department of Foreign Relations.

The meeting was attended by the co-presidency of the Department of Foreign Relations in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, Badran Çia Kurd, Samar Al-Abdullah, and the Vice-President, Rubel Baho.

Miller stressed the need to protect the gains made in NE Syria and the American support for the Autonomous Administration to achieve stability and ending "terrorism".

Miller "praised the sacrifices of the people of the region in order to eradicate terrorism."

The co-chair of the Department of External Relations in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, Badran Çia Kurd talked about the situation in the region and general issues, and explained the challenges and the need for joint cooperation in order to ensure stability.

While Miller stressed that the issue of camps and prisons in the region requires more support.

It is worth noting that this visit is the first of its kind to the region by a former US Secretary of Defense.
