Italian academic: Ocalan's freedom  represents freedom, dignity of all people

There is no information about the leader Abdullah Ocalan, who has been detained in imrali prison for 29 months, and his lawyers have submitted two requests a week to the Public Prosecution in order to meet him, but there is no response until now.

Federico Venturini spoke to ANHA agency about leader isolation.

"Unfortunately, his arrest is a tragic example of what the Turkish state is doing in all other prisons and its denial of the natural rights of detainees," said Federico Venturini

Federico Venturini said: "All efforts and attempts must be made for the freedom of Abdullah Ocalan."

Federico Venturini stated that leader Ocalan has successfully laid the foundations of the Confederation of Democraticism.

"The Kurdish liberation movement presents this new political model as a tangible alternative to capitalist modernity and applies it, and European powers fear that these ideas will spread and reduce their privileges, just as the Turkish state that realizes that European countries will be silent about their provocations and policies that violate human rights.

Federico Venturini made the point clear that the freedom of leader Ocalan is necessary to achieve a lasting peace in the Middle East and the Turkish state realizes this and continued his speech, saying: "His physical freedom should be fulfilled, in order to be able to study, research and hold meetings.

Turkey is aware of the symbolic importance of the arrest of Abdullah Ocalan and his families."

"He is the well -known leader of the Kurdish and personal liberation movement that unites the Kurdish people around the world.

Venturini described the leader Ocalan as "beacon of hope" and mentioned that his physical freedom requires stronger insistence.

Federico Venturini continued his speech by saying: "Abdullah Ocalan's physical freedom does not serve the liberation of the Kurdish people alone, as it represents the struggle for the sake of freedom and dignity of all people. We must not forget that its role goes beyond the framework of resolving the Kurdish issue.

Who is Federico Venturini?

Federico Venturini edited the book "Your Freedom and My Freedom: Abdullah Ocalan and the Kurdish issue in the Erdogan Turkey" in cooperation with Thomas Jeffrey Mail, in 2016 he won his PhD in social environment science, urban crisis and social movements, from Leeds University and participated in working to achieve the freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan physical for years, and continues his academic studies at the Italian University of Odini.
