The Daraa 24 website, which is concerned with monitoring the field situation in Daraa, reported the death of the journalist "Firas al-Ahmad" and the cameraman of the Syrian news channel, "Ahmed al-Musalma," in addition to "Mustafa al-Musalma, nicknamed "Al-Kasam," and another person who was with them, as a result of the explosion of an explosive device planted by unknown persons in the Al- Shayah area.

The site added that Firas al-Ahmad is from the city of Sheikh Maskin in the central countryside of Daraa, and works as a correspondent for Sama TV, and also works for official Russian media agencies.

While "Al-Kasm" is from Daraa al-Balad, he was subjected to many assassination attempts, and was injured during some of them. He leads a group that most of its members are from local armed men, working for the Military Security Service of the Damascus forces in the city of Daraa.

Meanwhile, an agency affiliated with the Damascus government reported that Ahmed al-Musalma, Firas Al-Ahmad, and 2 members of the Damascus forces were killed by an explosive device planted by "terrorists" on their way back to Al-Shayah in Daraa countryside, after thwarting a drug smuggling operation.
