Settlement of 300 settlers in Girê Spî

The Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries continue their crimes within the Girê Spî canton, which it occupied, in October 2019, from killing, kidnapping and looting of property, amid the acceleration of the demographic change processes in it, by forcibly deporting Syrian refugees and settling them within it.

ANHA's agency documented the settlement of more than 22,000 people, among the families of the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation state, and Syrian refugees from different Syrian regions (Aleppo, Idlib, Hama, Damascus countryside, and Deir ez-Zor), in the homes of the forcibly displaced, who were displaced as a result of the occupation and its crimes.

During the month of July, ANHA's agency documented the settlement of more than 300 settlers in the occupied canton, who were deported by the Turkish authorities as part of the campaign to deport Syrian refugees from their lands under the so-called "voluntary return."

On 10 dates, ANHA's agency documented that the people of the village of Al-Boz, 15 kilometers south of the canton, found the body of a young man in his twenties, with signs of torture, called Mahyar Al-Awaid from the city of Hama. He had been settled 8 months before his body was found, only to discover later that he had been kidnapped by mercenaries, which means that even the new settlers were not spared the crimes of the Turkish occupation mercenaries in the occupied canton.

On July 25, 3 people who were settled near the village of Aiwa, 60 km southeast of the occupied canton, were wounded by the bullets of "Ahrar al-Sharqiya" mercenaries while they were trying to flee from the Turkish occupation areas to the areas of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, escaping from what the canton is witnessing. Crimes, the names of two of them were known, namely (Shukri Hussein - Abboud Al-Shammari).

The mercenaries of the Turkish occupation kidnapped 9 citizens of Girê Spi / Tal Abyad after raiding their homes, on July 24, and a leader among them, named Abu Rabi` al-Idlibi, demanded $1,000; In exchange for the release of each of them, who are: "Moayad Al-Khalaf, Munir Al-Khalaf, Jassim Al-Arab, Issa Al-Mousa, Abd Al-Sattar Al-Dakhil, Ibrahim Al-Omair, Ajil Halibi, Saadoun Al-Ashaj, and Ibrahim Al-Khalil."

On July 18, a military armored vehicle of the Turkish occupation army ran over the young Fayez Ali al-Hajju (25 years old), from the village of Kafifa, west of the occupied canton, and he was killed instantly as a result of severe bleeding in the head.

The canton also witnessed, on July 24 and 28, two separate fights between mercenaries, where a mercenary named (Abu Al-Baraa Al-Nuaimi) from the "Ramadan Al-Shalash" battalion was killed, and its leader, Hussein Abu Ali Al-Dairi, was arrested during a raid on the battalion's headquarters by mercenaries of what is known as the Military Police, as a result of disputes money on smuggling routes.

Two of the mercenaries of the Levant Front, which controls the border gate, were killed, and 5 others were wounded. As a result of the attack of the mercenaries of Faylaq al-Majd and the Third Legion on it, and clashes between the two parties led to the suspension and closure of the crossing, which extended to other occupied areas.

The occupied territories are witnessing anger and displeasure; Because of the crimes committed by the Turkish army and its mercenaries against the people and the lack of security, represented in the strike, and the outcry in rejectionist demonstrations, the last of which was on August 3, and the occupied canton witnessed a general strike, one day before, in protest for the same reasons.

The remaining residents of the occupied Girê Spî canton went out in two demonstrations on June 14 and 17, in which they demanded the dissolution of the so-called "local council" and the removal of the hands of the Turkish occupation and mercenaries from their areas.
