AANES General Council ends its meeting with several outputs

The session, which was held in the meeting room of the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration in Raqqa, was attended by the Presidency of the General Council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, deputies of the General Council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, members of the legislative councils of the Autonomous and Civil Administrations in North and East Syria, and the deputy co-chairmanship of the Council Executive Director of the Autonomous Administration, Amina Ossi.

The session began with standing for a minute of silence, followed by a welcoming speech delivered by the co-chair of the General Council, Farid Atti, who welcomed the attendees and explained the session’s program and its importance to come up with outputs that contribute to improving the living, economic and service reality through discussion with the legislative councils in the regions.

Then the discussion was opened on the items of the meeting so that each administration and legislative council would raise problems and obstacles in all economic and service aspects. The proposals focused on the issue of fuel, bread, drinking water and electricity problems, corruption and smuggling. The discussions also touched on the depreciation in the Syrian pound against the US dollar, which had a negative impact. And great on the general economic and living reality. During the discussions, the neighborhood within the Autonomous Administration institutions was also mentioned, and a number of proposals for a solution were put forward.

The session concluded with several outputs, most notably:

- Increasing bread allocations for each individual by 25% and doubling ration violations on quality and weight, according to the statistics provided by the General Administration of Statistics within a month of its date.

- Increasing the allocation of diesel for irrigated agriculture by 20% and improving the quality.

- Distribution of car allowances on a monthly basis, not on a weekly or semi-monthly basis, as is the case now.

- Distributing domestic butane gas on a monthly basis and not every three months as it is currently.

- Tightening food control, preventing monopoly, and monitoring the prices of medicines and the wages of doctors and hospitals.

- Selecting those with scientific competencies to manage the control bodies.

- Tightening security and judicial control to limit the spread of drugs.

- Limiting the powers of the Agricultural Community Development Company and the Newroz Company and subjecting them to monitoring and follow-up.

Repairing public roads.

Reducing immigration by providing job opportunities and supporting small projects.

Focusing on the follow-up and supervision of the legislative councils and the General Council, and holding the corrupt accountable.

- Formation of committees from the legislative councils in the autonomous and civil administrations to follow up on the work of the Department of Fuels, Mills and Furnaces, and to submit their reports within a month of its date.

- Assigning the Finance Authority to conduct a study to increase salaries and wages for employees of the Autonomous Administration in accordance with the general budget.
