The goals and plans of the occupying powers that signed the Lausanne Agreement on July 24, 1923 are renewed against the geography of Kurdistan, in the absence of a complete unified Kurdish political position that blocks the way for the massacres and genocide practiced against them over the course of a hundred years from the conclusion of the agreement, by looking forward to a second Lausanne that divides Kurdistan more than ever.

Regarding the impact of this agreement on the Kurdish presence, and the importance of Kurdish unity to thwart it, a member of the Intellectuals Union in Jazira region, Mizgin Zaidan, explained that with the conclusion of the Lausanne Agreement, which was the beginning of a new phase of the massacres of genocide against the Kurds, many events accompanied the Kurds, and the Kurdish women in particular. From committing massacres to the policies of denial and dismantling them in order to completely deprive them of their rights.

Indicating that the countries that signed the Lausanne Agreement, led by the Turkish occupation state, have always sought not to build any Kurdish entity that would guarantee their rights, saying: "The Kurds, especially women, were subjected to displacement and genocide, while the geography of Kurdistan is subjected to the policies of demographic change in a systematic manner to the present day."

Unifying the ranks and the Kurdish position

Mizgin saw that the Turkish state seeks to continue practicing Lausanne policies against the Kurds and the people of the region, by occupying Afrin, Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî in North and East Syria, and added: "All components were affected by this agreement, all of them were subjected to massacres."

At the end of her speech, a member of the Intellectuals Union in the Jazira region, Mizgin Zaidan, stressed the need to unify the Kurdish ranks and position to confront all attacks and agreements concluded against them, and to move towards a Kurdish national conference to resolve differences and draw broad lines on their gains, and build a unified Kurdish entity for them.

"Guarantee for the extermination of the Kurds"

A member of the Rojava Center for Strategic Studies, Kurdiar Dari'i, agreed with Mizgin Zaidan about the marginalization and denial of the Lausanne Agreement for the rights of the Kurds, and said: "For a hundred years, all the violations committed against the Kurds from committing massacres and thwarting their revolutions. The international community's response to that was hidden in the pages of the Lausanne Agreement, which served as a guarantee for the occupying countries of Kurdistan (Syria, Iraq, Iran and Turkey) in exterminating the Kurds.

And he indicated that "if the political forces had stood with the people against the enemy's plans, the situation would have been different for the Kurds, meaning that the differences between the Kurds contributed to achieving the goals of the occupying powers of Kurdistan to some extent."

He continued, "The forces that signed the agreement continue to practice their plans on the land of Kurdistan. Today, Erdogan, who is a killer of the children of Afrin, Serêkaniyê, and Girê Spî, is practicing the same plans of Mustafa Ataturk against the geography of Kurdistan and its people, by seeking to implement the "Misik- Mili"

Kurdiar Dari'i stressed the need to hold a Kurdish national conference to unify the position and strategy of the Kurds in the four parts of Kurdistan and to hold the perpetrators of the massacres against them accountable over the course of a hundred years.
