Damascus government forces kidnap citizen from Afrin

Sources reported that the security services of the Damascus government forces had kidnapped the IDP Saydo Sheikh Qanbar (36 years old) from the village of Khallalka in the Bulbila district of the occupied Afrin canton, in the center of the city of Aleppo.

The sources indicated that the Damascus forces kidnapped Qanbar at the al-Layrmoun roundabout checkpoint while he was returning to Shahba Canton.

In a related context, a source who was kidnapped for several months by the Damascus government forces said that officers of the Damascus government forces threatened him during his interrogation, telling him: "You the people of Afrin are all wanted and we will arrest you all".

Despite the passage of more than 12 years since the Syrian crisis, the Damascus government is still pursuing policies of repression and denial against the Syrian people, especially the Kurds.

The Damascus government forces deployed at the entrances to Shahba Canton and the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiya neighborhoods in Aleppo continue to clamp down on the people, by imposing a suffocating siege on them, preventing the passage of fuel, medicine, flour and materials from entering the Canton and the 2 neighborhoods.

Not to mention the ban on carrying more than 150,000 Syrian lira, searching cellular devices and kidnapping citizens on the pretext that their devices are not connected to the cellular network, whose companies are owned by the ruling family and their relatives.
