​​​​​​​Salih Muslim: We must understand why 11,000 martyrs sacrificed their lives

Meanwhile, the activities of the Syrian Forum for the July 19 Revolution are being held under the slogan "July 19: The Revolution of Women and Peoples and the Guarantee of a Democratic Syria", sponsored by the Democratic Union Party, in the city of Hasaka.

The co-chair of the Democratic Union Party, Salih Muslim, delivered a speech in which he defined the revolution in NE Syria and its importance.

He said: "The July 19 Revolution is a revolution during which people rose up, and it is a revolution that followed the third line, and today, after 11 years, the changes that occurred in society are the revolution itself".

And he added, "What is required from us is to protect this revolution and its gains. We must be well aware of why 11,000 martyrs sacrificed their lives, and until now our young men and women are still fighting on the frontlines, and continuing the revolution".

Stressing the need to continue the path of the martyrs so that the people can enjoy peace and security.

July 19th is a different revolution

Hamdan al-Abed, the deputy co-chair of the Executive Council of the AANES, delivered a speech in which he congratulated all peoples on the July 19, and said: "A few days ago, we remembered the martyrs of July 14, and today we celebrate the anniversary of the July 19 revolution".

He pointed to the reasons for the failure of other revolutions, and said: "This failure was due to the lack of a main goal for these revolutions, and the opposition, which called itself the opposition, deviated from its path".

He stressed, "The July 19 revolution is different from the rest of the revolutions, and it is the real launch of a revolution that has become for all peoples".

Strengthening defense system is the guarantee of the revolution

The commander of the Women's Protection Units, Sariya Afrin, also delivered a speech in which she blessed the July 19 Revolution, saying: "First, we congratulate the July 19 Revolution on the leader Abdullah Ocalan and on all the martyrs of the revolution and all the revolutionaries and fighters.

And she indicated that "this revolution has become an example for all peoples, and the reason for calling it the Women's Revolution is the result of the revolutionary struggle and love of all women who sacrificed their lives, our organization (Women's Protection Units) began with a small number and now we have become an army that liberated different regions and encouraged thousands of women to participate in this revolution".

She explained that "the guarantee of Rojava's revolution, which we call the women's revolution, is to strengthen our defense system and to fulfill the hopes and aspirations of the martyrs until the achiving freedom and seeing the leader among us".
