Protest in Manbij calls for escalation of struggle to achieve leader's physical freedom

Expressing their indignation at the threats against the leader Abdullah Ocalan and the attacks of the Turkish occupation on NE Syria, hundreds of Manbij residents shouted slogans, "There is no life without the leader", "With the spirit of the leader's resistance in Imrali, we will escalate our struggle for leader physical freedom," this came during a demonstration organized by the Commander's Freedom Committee in Manbij under the slogan "We call on all honorable and free people in the world and those who believe in the standards and values of freedom to stand with us for the freedom of the leader."

Members of the Democratic Civil Administration in Manbij and its countryside, the Leader's Freedom Committee, political parties, notables, clan sheikhs, women's institutions, councils, lines, and civil society organizations participated in the demonstration.

The demonstrators set out from the Al-Mizan roundabout, raising flags and pictures of the leader Ocalan, and upon their arrival at the downstream roundabout in the city center, they stood a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs, then the member of the leader's Freedom Committee, Hind Dagestani, delivered a speech in which she blamed the Turkish state, the Justice and Development Party and the European Committee against Torture ( CPT) full responsibility for the health of leader Abdullah Ocalan.

"We will remain on the path of struggle until the physical freedom of the leader Abdullah Ocalan is achieved. It is time for him to exist among the peoples of the region, and to establish peace and stability throughout Syria," she stressed.

The co-chair of the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement in Manbij and its countryside, Ahmed al-Jumaili, during a speech he delivered at the demonstration, demanded the achievement of physical freedom for the leader Abdullah Ocalan.

He explained that the Turkish state and the Justice and Development Party are trying to strike at the project of the democratic nation that is based on the thought and approach of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, as they know very well that the leader is the key to solving all problems in the Middle East, and seeks the salvation of oppressed peoples who yearn for freedom from slavery and an authoritarian mentality."

 Al-Jumaili confirmed "They imprisoned leader Abdullah Ocalan in the solitary cell in Imrali, because they realize that any message that comes from him will be a great motivation for us to freedom in all parts of the world."

The demonstration concluded by chanting slogans calling for the freedom of leader Ocalan.
