Simon Dobbins: Ocalan's Democratic Nation exposed defects of nation-state

The participation of the head of the Federation of Trade Unions in Britain, Simon Dobbins, came through a special video message to the forum, on the second day of the work of the international forum, which started its activities since yesterday, in the city of Hasaka in NE Syria, under the title "Lausanne: correcting paths and issues of stability and regional security." ".

During his participation, he focused on ways to solve the suffering of the Kurdish people, and to confront the repercussions of the Treaty of Lausanne, and what guides them in the current stage, stressing that the salvation of peoples passes through the project of the democratic nation put forward by the leader Abdullah Ocalan.

Dobbins justified considering the project of the democratic nation as a solution for the oppressed, and considering the Autonomous Administration as a solution, by saying: "Yes, I certainly see that the Autonomous Administration worked to create a comprehensive and integrated society in which women enjoy all their rights and is based on respect, integration and equality, and this is what we saw on the ground when we visited it." .

He added, "We realize the heroic role played by the regions of NE Syria in defeating ISIS, and the peoples of the world should be grateful for these huge sacrifices."

Dobbins referred to the democratic concepts discussed by the leader Abdullah Ocalan, focusing on the concept of the democratic nation, and said, "The leader's analyzes through his proposed project show the shortcomings of the nation-state system."

"I am convinced that dealing with these issues according to what Mr. Ocalan analyzed is a good thing, as the borders imposed by the nation-state are meaningless," he added.

The International Forum continues, in its third and final session, with the participants discussing how to bypass Lausanne and the best solution to the Kurdish issue and the region.

It is planned that the forum will end with a closing statement, and participants' proposals to work on as a roadmap for resolving the Kurdish issue.
