Adopting third strategy is the only way to solve Kurdish issue

The International Forum for the Treaty of Lausanne continues for its second and final day, held in the city of Hasaka, under the slogan "Lausanne: Correcting Paths and Issues of Regional Stability and Security".

During their fifth session, the conferees discussed ways to confront the war of genocide targeting the Kurdish people by Attia Youssef, the human rights and administrative director of the Social Justice Council in the Jazera region.

The politician and parliamentarian for the Peoples' Democratic Party, Newroz Uysal, spoke through the Zoom application, about the importance of holding a Kurdish conference, the principles of this contract, the importance of unifying the political, diplomatic and military discourse, and touching on the Kobani experience as a model for Kurdish unity and its global influence.

Uysal believed that: "The gains achieved by the Kurds need to be linked to the unity of the Kurdish ranks, as an example when ISIS launched attacks on Kobani, all Kurdish parties united to liberate it, as the Kurds need a national union in order to protect their gains."

 She indicated that every part of Kurdistan must leave aside its differences and work to unify the Kurdish ranks, so we urgently need this theory to reach national unity and a democratic society.

While the co-chair of the Democratic Union Party, Salih Muslim, touched on the strategy that the Kurds must follow in the twenty-first century, explaining: "If we organize our people, we will achieve our demands. The most prominent failures of the Kurdish uprisings throughout history were due to dispersion and disorganization."

Muslim stressed that we can benefit from the democracy that the European Union countries enjoy, indicating that the only way and the only way to solve the Kurdish issue is democracy.

Muslim noted: "The historical uprisings of the Kurds were thwarted and ended up because they were not united and organized, and therefore they could not achieve their goals and interests. Kurdish unity means the union of the people and the union of parties."

Indicating the demands and will of the people must be sought and fulfilled, and we believe in the democratic nation, and we will not be able to gain freedom with the weapons of nation-states and through war, but we must create a new weapon and our weapon is the democratic nation."

The session included interventions via Zoom by the co-chair of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, Medhat Sinjar, and the co-chairman of the Peoples’ Democratic Party in Adana, Tulay Oglullari, who blessed the convening of this forum for the Kurdish people, hoping that it would produce positive recommendations and results that serve the Kurdish people and the Kurdish cause, stressing that The imperial powers are still imposing their hegemony against the Kurdish people.

During their interventions, the participants unanimously agreed that the Kurds should be unified in the face of the enemy that killed the Kurds, and that the Kurdish strategy needs Kurdish consensus in order to protect the gains.

It is scheduled to continue the work of the International Forum of the Treaty of Lausanne by discussing the results of the questionnaire conducted by the Rojava Center for Strategic Studies regarding the Treaty of Lausanne.
