AANES to return bodies of 11 Syrians drowned off  Algerian coast

The Department of Foreign Relations of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria issued today a statement to the public opinion, in which it confirmed the completion of the necessary arrangements to return the bodies of 11 Syrian citizens who drowned off the Algerian coast.

The statement stated:

"Within the framework of humanitarian efforts towards its Syrian people, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, represented by the Department of External Relations has completed all necessary arrangements to return the bodies of eleven citizens, all of whom are from our people from the areas of the Autonomous Administration, including three children, who lost their lives on the fifth of last June following the sinking of a boat carrying illegal immigrants off the Algerian coast, after the Administration communicated with all concerned authorities and took the necessary measures to transfer the bodies.

The bodies of the victims are scheduled to arrive on Thursday, corresponding to the sixth of July, at Beirut Airport and from there to Syria.

The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria appreciates the humanitarian efforts made by the Lebanese Red Cross and all parties that have cooperated with it in this regard, by contributing to the transfer of the bodies after their arrival at Beirut International Airport.

The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria renews its condolences to the families of the victims, and urges the people of the region not to be drawn into the plans of human smuggling networks from the region, which only care about material greed, which represents a free service to the plans of the enemies of our people to empty the region of the young generation.

We call on our people and youth to cling to their land, realizing with them the magnitude of the challenges of the stage facing our regions and Syria in general, whose solution is a priority for the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria.

The following are the names of the victims: (Azad Shayar Khalil - Shayar Muhammad Khalil - Jamila Abdel-Baqi Muhammad Ali - Masoud Mustafa Muhammad - Ola Abdel-Razzaq Al-Ahmad - Lareen Masoud Muhammad - Amira Muhammad Habash - Halima Muhammad Mustafa - Farman Adeeb Daly - Yasmine Jawdat Saadi - Ahmed Bakr Kiko".
