Child Abdullah passes away 5 years after being shot by Turkish army

The child Abdullah Barzan passed away yesterday, as a result of his injuries, in direct targeting of the Turkish occupation army in 2018, which left unable to move for nearly 5 years.

On September 20, 2018, the Turkish occupation army soldiers targeted a group of children while they were playing football in the village of Kharab Kurt, on the border separating northern Kurdistan and NE Syria, 10 km west of the city of Qamishlo, as a result of which the child Abdullah Barzan was wounded by an explosive bullet in the abdomen directly affected his spine.

After the injury of Abdullah Barzan, he was transferred to Farman Hospital for treatment, and due to deteriorating his health, he was taken to southern Kurdistan (Başûr) for treatment, but the family's financial situation did not help them pay the high costs of treatment in the hospitals of southern Kurdistan. Therefore, the family had to return to the city of Qamishlo after 17 days, where a number of doctors specializing in back surgery performed an operation to stabilize his back vertebrae, and his mother was supervising his health care, exercising him physically, and helping him walk on his feet, hoping that he would return as he was before the Turkish attack to complete his studies.

The bullet that penetrated the body of the young Abdullah Barzan, and stopped the work of many of his intestinal and dorsal organs, as the bullet hit his two kidneys as a result of the bullet entering from the lower side of his abdomen and exiting from the right side, in addition to hitting the bladder nerve, and two lumbar vertebrae, which affected the spinal cord.

The child's mother, Haifa Muhammad, said in a telephone conversation with ANHA correspondent in Qamishlo this morning: "We referred him (Abdullah Barzan) to Damascus recently because his health began to decline again, and he was suffering from severe infections due to his injury, but they could not save him."

After suffering for nearly 5 years, the child Abdullah Barzan, who was 18 years old, passed away yesterday, as a result of his wounds by the Turkish occupier's weapons.
