SDC reaffirms that the Syrian-Syrian dialogue guarantees a solution to country's crisis

The co-chair of the Syrian Democratic Council, Amina Omar, spoke during a symposium organized today by the Council in the city of Qamishlo, northeastern Syria. To discuss the merits of Arab normalization and its repercussions on the file of the Syrian crisis and the Syrians.

Entitled "Arab Normalization... To Where?" The Syrian Democratic Council discussed with a group of intellectuals, politicians, activists, and representatives of political parties, in addition to figures from women's organizations; The issue of the recent rapprochement between the Arab countries and the Damascus government, its beginning and course.

After standing a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs, the director of the symposium and a member of the Presidency Council of the Syrian Democratic Council, Janda Mohammad, mentioned the reasons for holding the symposium to the participants, and said: "The symposium is to discuss political developments and Arab normalization, which has entered its third month."

The symposium was initiated by the co-chair of the Syrian Democratic Council, Amina Omar, by talking about the current developments regarding the paths of rapprochement between the Arab countries and the Damascus government, the changes that accompanied that and their political repercussions on the country.

During her speech, Amina Omar asked about the ability of the Damascus government, after many years of the Syrian crisis, and its return to the Arab League, to solve the worsening crisis, excluding that, "Will the Syrian regime, through its return to the Arab League, be able to solve the worsening crises in the country that have reached the point of suffocation from them?" Drugs, the refugee file, the political dialogue in Syria, the economic crisis?

Amina Omar again expressed the Syrian Democratic Council's readiness to cooperate with all countries that seek rapprochement and normalization with the Damascus government, but on the condition that rapprochement and normalization are in the interest of the Syrian people.

She said, "We, as a political party in Syria, support any dialogue that is in the interest of the Syrian people, and in particular if the dialogue is intra-Syrian without external interference."

In turn, the participants in the seminar did not express their optimism about the process of Arab rapprochement with Damascus. The attendees also indicated that the Damascus government is still intransigent in its policies, which led to the freezing of its membership in the Arab League. They called on the Arab countries to set conditions for the process of change.

The participants in the symposium noted that the initiative launched by the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, with its provisions for resolving the Syrian crisis, alone is capable of resolving the country's intractable crises.
