SDC calls for Turkey to be held accountable of its crimes

The statement read:

"The Syrian Democratic Council, while expressing its deepest condolences to the families and families of the martyrs, condemns in the strongest terms this horrific terrorist crime against civilians, and calls for Turkey to be held accountable for all the war crimes that it has committed and continues to do on a daily basis against the people of Syria without any deterrence or accountability. The Council condemns in the strongest terms the international silence towards Turkish policies aimed at spreading panic and terror in the regions of North and East Syria, and prompting Syrian citizens to evacuate their villages and towns in preparation for their occupation, and exile them as immigrant groups to blackmail the European Union and the United Nations, into accepting the rogue policies of the Turkish state.

The statement called on the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS, led by the United States, not to tolerate Turkish threats and war crimes against the local population. It also called on the Russian Federation not to turn the Astana route into an operations room to coordinate security operations targeting the lives of innocent Syrians.

In its statement, the Syrian Democratic Council also called on the concerned United Nations bodies and international organizations, in particular the Security Council, to hold Turkey accountable for the crime it committed yesterday, and to hold it accountable for all war crimes and ethnic cleansing that it is practicing in clear and explicit violation of international law and international humanitarian law.
