TEV-DEM calls for adherence to resistance principles

The statement of the Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM) came to denounce the ongoing Turkish occupation attacks on NE Syria and the targeting of the co-chair of the Qamishlo Canton Council, Yousra Darwish, her deputy Lyman Shweish, and their driver, Furat Touma, while they were carrying out civil work in the Autonomous Administration institutions.

TEV-DEM indicated that the inaction towards the occupation attacks by the so-called "guarantor countries" of the cease-fire, and the Russian statements regarding the Autonomous Administration are all dangerous political indicators and a push message for the Turkish occupation to commit more massacres.

The statement read: "For a long time, the Turkish occupation state has been planning, in coordination with some parties concerned with the Syrian issue, especially the countries that signed agreements to support the Turkish fascist occupation internally and externally to launch more attacks on the will of the Democratic Autonomous Administration, and to drag the region into an open battlefield along the border strip, as a result of the deadly daily provocative attacks to undermine the stability of the region and impose special war policies to reach a policy of annihilating historical societal cultures without distinguishing between the culture of any component of the region and the entire geography of the Autonomous Administration. Turkish occupation fears of people's cohesion and solidarity towards building their will and gathering their cultural and moral capabilities through the legend of the epics of historical societal resistance.

It continued: "The continuous targeting using drones, warplanes, and missiles against civilians, and with the ambiguity of the position of the countries concerned with the Syrian issue and the guarantor countries of the ceasefire confirm that their source is common, their decision is common, and their positions are not deterring Turkey by these parties. It emphasized: "The Turkish government of justice is a purely fascist government, and it fears the values and principles of democracy and uses many arbitrary political aspects against neighboring peoples, through a policy of sowing fear and panic among civilians to empty the region and carry out counter-campaigns against the will of societies yearning for democracy and free national unity.

TEV-DEM offered condolences to the people of the region and the families of the martyrs, Yousra Darwish, Lyman Shweish, and Furat Touma, and added: "We affirm and promise to follow in their footsteps and philosophy, and to continue protecting their values in our struggle and resistance, and we wish recovery for the injured comrade Gabi."

It also called on the peoples of the region, saying: "The stage is very important, and we are on the verge of victory for the Syrian-Syrian solution, but the enemies of the people's will are putting obstacles in front of the appropriate solutions proposed by the Autonomous Administration through its initiative for the solution.
