Before Astana talks... Bogdanov's statements support Turkish occupation

The Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, Mikhail Bogdanov, claimed that the United States is not interested in resolving the Kurdish issue in Syria and is preventing what he called its Kurdish allies from negotiating with Damascus, ignoring the repeated calls of the AANES to launch a serious dialogue between the Syrians, the latest of which is the political initiative to resolve the Syrian crisis.

Bogdanov stated that the US forces "are present in economically important areas for Syria in the east of the Euphrates, which contain oil and important natural resources," indicating that there is a theft of Syrian wealth, but the AANES, during its political initiative, confirmed that these resources belong to all Syrians.

Bogdanov accused the Kurds and the AANES of dividing the Syrian lands, claiming that "the American forces support the Kurdish AANES, which opposes the unity of the Syrian lands. The Americans support a number of Kurdish organizations that established a quasi-state with its own administration. This is totally unacceptable".

Russian statements come as a support of both the Turkish occupation state and the Damascus government, as Moscow pushes the two parties to normalize relations between them despite Turkey's occupation of many Syrian regions.
