TEV-DEM: Turkish bombing of Tal Rifaat Hospital is new massacre

Democratic Society Movement issued a written statement, that reads:

"With the announcement by the AANES of the initiative to solve the Syrian issue and the announcement of the establishment of a court to try ISIS terrorists detained in the prisons of NE Syria, the Turkish occupation state escalated its attacks through its drones over the entire geography of NE Syria, targeting many cars and centers along the border areas, and it seems that Russia and the international coalition led by America who are present in the region are unwilling to interfere in this criminal matter or to express any moral stance towards the threats and interventions of the Turkish occupation arbitrarily and brutally against the will and sovereignty of the region, it seems that the 2 sides agree not to disturb Turkey from killing the Kurds, Arabs and all components in the region, as a result of their political interests without considering the interests of the people".

And continued: "What the Shahba region is witnessing during this period, in terms of the state of instability as a result of the war declared by the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries against that region, and the bombing and Turkish warplanes violate the airspace controlled by the Russian forces stationed in the region with the Damascus government forces, but they remain without any clear positions regarding these fascist Turkish attacks.

And stated that "the agreements organized by the countries of the Astana group have turned the Shahba region into a conflict arena between them, which causes many victims to fall due to the bombing of the Turkish occupation marches, and the goal is to undermine the will of our people and our IDPs people from occupied Afrin".

TEV DEM considered "the brutal bombing of the fascist Turkish air force on Tal Rifaat Hospital a new crime and massacre, destroying the lives of thousands of patients, cutting off their supplies and forcing them to flee, as its the only hospital that works in serving and treating patients and emergency cases day and night, despite the lack of capabilities; As a result of the siege imposed by the Damascus government and the daily bombardment of the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries".

It added: "Targeting the hospital paralyzed the movement of the medical staff and stopped the hospital's work from service as a result of the damage caused to the hospital. This is considered the greatest threat to the lives of tens of thousands of Kurdish and Arab families in the region who are deprived of the most basic rights and live under very difficult conditions as a result of the systematic extermination policies by imposing the economic and social blockade on it, to be a victim of conspiracies and dirty policies aimed at sustaining the Syrian crisis and preventing any positive and influential development of the Autonomous Administration in the democratic solution and its exclusion".

And affirmed that "the resistance of our people in the Shahba region, as in occupied Afrin, is increasing day by day, as well as the will and insistence on resistance and expressing their stances related to values and principles, for that the Turkish occupation expands its attacks on all regions of NE Syria to strike security and stability in it with the aim of preventing the success of the trial of ISIS terrorists".

TEV-DEM blamed "the United Nations and its organizations concerned with human rights and the International Red Cross as a result of their complete absence and failure to assume its moral responsibilities towards what the Shahba region suffers from war and destruction and the new attempts of occupation of all our regions", explaining that "their absence paves the way for directing the region towards a disaster and daily death by the weapons of fascist regimes and chauvinist mentality".

At the end of its statement, called on "our Kurdish people and all the people of the region to support the resistance of the IDPs from Afrin in Shahba and all the residents and support them in their struggle and their legitimate struggle against the policies of extermination and the Turkish occupation, which has become clear that it is taking revenge on the will of all peoples, so we must raise the pace of our struggle and resistance, and that solidarity and cohesion are the most victorious thought of the will of free peoples".
