AANES: We seek to return bodies of immigration victims who drowned off Algerian coast

Today, the Foreign Relations Department of the AANES issued a written statement, announcing its endeavor to return the bodies of the drowned, based on its humanitarian and social duties.

The statement reads: "Once again, our people received the news of the loss of their families through illegal immigration, which claimed the lives of thousands of people of different nationalities".

The Department affirmed: "Based on its humanitarian and social duties towards its people, the AANES seeks, through the Foreign Relations Department, to return the bodies of the victims of illegal immigration who have drowned off the Algerian coast, as soon as possible".

And extended its condolences to the families of the victims, and urged: "Our people to be patient and not to risk the lives of their children in illegal immigration routes".

It should be noted that the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria took care of transporting the bodies of 9 victims of illegal immigration from Kobani, in November of 2022, who had drowned off the Algerian coast, on October 3 of the same year.
