Martyrs' mothers: Iraqi army should protect residents of Makhmour camp

The mothers of the martyrs expressed their support for the resistance of Makhmour people, denouncing the attempts of the Iraqi army to besiege Rustam Judy camp, and stressed that it is the duty of the Iraqi army to protect them instead of imposing a siege on them.

The Iraqi army's attempts to besiege Makhmour camp (the martyr Rustam Judy) since the 20th of May, and to put up barbed wire, amid resistance from the camp's residents against these violations.

In this context, Khalsa al-Hassan, the mother of the martyr Anwar al-Alou, denounced the siege imposed on the people of Makhmour camp, saying: "We, the people of NE Syria, condemn in the strongest terms the Iraqi army's surrounding of Makhmour camp

Al-Hassan called on the international powers to break their silence regarding the violations committed against the people of Makhmour camp.

For her part, Sultana Saeed, the mother of martyr Qahraman Ali, condemned the Iraqi army's besiege of Makhmour camp, saying: "The duty of the Iraqi army is to protect and appreciate them, not to displace them again".

She affirmed "We, the families of the martyrs in NE Syria, stand in solidarity with our people in Makhmour, and support them until the siege is lifted".
