KCK: Elections taught AKP- National Movement a historical lesson

On Thursday, the co-chairmanship of the Executive Council of the Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK) issued a statement regarding the May 14 elections in Turkey and Bakur Kurdistan, stating:

"The presidential and parliamentary elections took place on May 14, 2023 in Northern Kurdistan and Turkey, and given the imminent danger posed by the fascism of the Justice and Development Party and the National Movement Party to the Kurdish people, society and peoples in Turkey, the elections of May 14, 2023 were considered very important, and for months they became one of the most important events of the hour." In Turkey and Northern Kurdistan, and we as the Kurdish liberation movement and its belief in the consolidation of democracy in Turkey and freedom in Kurdistan and equal and shared life for peoples for the sake of society in Turkey, democratic forces, toilers, women, youth and all segments of democratic society that express their democratic will against fascism, we find this stage is a stage positive, and we evaluated it in this context.

Our people did not give way to fascism, and made Kurdistan a center of democratic struggle

The ruling authority of the Justice and Development Party and the National Movement Party has activated all state resources as well as all kinds of pressure, oppression and violence, and has sought to prevent the expression of the will of the Kurdish people and all segments of the democratic society, but the national people of Kurdistan withstood all kinds of pressures and hardships, dispersed them all, and crossed the line The election expressed its will in a strong way, and put his mark under a great victory.

We can say without any hesitation that our people showed a strong stance against the fascism of the Justice and Development Party and the National Movement Party in the elections of May 14, 2023, and they taught a historical lesson to the Justice and Development Party and the fascist colonial and authoritarian National Movement Party and to the enemies of the Kurds, and we congratulate the patriotic people of Kurdistan from the bottom of their hearts for their historical and valuable position which it showed, and we salute them for this historic victory, and our people will not give way to fascism, and made Kurdistan a center for the legitimate democratic struggle, and this position expressed by our people is a very important step, as it will put an end to fascism, and it is clear that the importance of Kurdistan It will be better understood by everyone in the next stage in order to consolidate democracy in Turkey and liberate society in Turkey from the grip of fascism, and Kurdistan will play a historic role based on this foundation.

Women took the lead in electoral activities

Women participated in an effective way in electoral activities, clinging to the stage more than others and assuming the leadership of electoral activities. Therefore, creating a strong representation of women is a very important development, and in the context of our belief in equal representation and the will of women, we see that these results are very positive, and based on these as a result, we congratulate and salute the women for what they have done.”
