#SandıktakiİradeneSahipÇık hashtag to protect polls

The voting process for the presidential and parliamentary elections in Bakur (Northern Kurdistan) and Turkey began at eight in the morning, and will continue until 17:00 in the evening, after which the counting of votes begins.

A hashtag campaign was launched on virtual communication at 10 am today in Turkish to protect the ballot boxes and votes, as the hashtag ((#SandıktakiİradeneSahipÇık) appeared. Since now, many people in Kurdistan and Europe have tweeted this hashtag.

The co-chair of the Peoples' Democratic Party published a video in which she called on the people, observers and employees to protect the ballot boxes and abide by their duties until these boxes are handed over.

She indicated that everyone should consider themselves responsible and contribute to protecting and monitoring the ballot boxes.

She said, "The authority will carry out dirty propaganda, but no one should be affected by it. Let your focus be directed only on our votes and the ballot boxes. Turkey's fate is in your hands, and you are the ones who will change it, so good luck to all of you."

The spokeswoman for the left-wing Green Party, Cekdem Kılıçkun, also called everyone to monitor the ballot boxes for the success of the electoral process and said: “The boxes must not be left until the completion of counting the votes and indicating our position. Be at the top of your duties so that we take the documents (results) of the boxes to our center. You are the ones who will determine the results of our work that has been going on for months. The funds and votes are your trust. We will write history today together, and we will certainly win."

Some of the tweets stated that the Turkish state police are taking action against citizens and not allowing observers to supervise the ballot boxes. It was called not to surrender to these attacks.
