Airstrikes kill drug dealer, his family at Syrian-Jordanian border

The aerial bombardment of the Syrian border areas with Jordan killed the family of a drug dealer named "Marai Ruwaishid al-Ramthan," consisting of 7 people, after targeting his house in the village of al-Sha'ab, south of As-Suwayda, near the border with Jordan, according to the "Ahrar Houran Gathering" website.

Unidentified warplanes, which several sources said were Jordanian, launched a series of air raids targeting 3 locations in Syria, at dawn today, as the bombing targeted the purification plant between the Al-Dahiya neighborhood and the town of Kharab Al-Shahem, which contains a drug production factory and is used as a temporary storage site for smuggling.

While no party has claimed responsibility for the bombing until the moment the news was prepared.

Observers believe that the bombing was carried out by Jordan as part of the Jordanian side's attempts to target the drug trade in the region there in coordination with the Damascus government, especially since Jordan confirmed that it is fighting drug smuggling operations into its territory.

Jordan's Foreign Minister, Ayman Safadi, had previously threatened during an interview with the American "CNN" channel, last Friday, that his country would take military action inside Syria to stop the flow of drugs towards the Gulf countries and the world.
