Karayilan: We seek to democratize Turkey, build unity of Kurds and ambitious peoples

This came during the second part of the dialogue of the member of the leadership committee of the PKK, Murad Karayilan, with ANF News Agency .

* Let's go back to the issue of Rojava, you mentioned that Rojava should not be described as belonging to the Kurdistan Workers' Party, so if Rojava is not affiliated with the PKK, then why is the Turkish state hostile to the forces of the Rojava Revolution?

Mainly, we can say that  the state was afraid of the Rojava revolution, and for this reason it initially wanted to conduct relations, so It invited Salih Muslim and met with him several times in Ankara, then found that it could not control, and its fear multiplied more than before. Its objectives were mainly as follows,

Rojava is the smallest part of Kurdistan, with a population of about 3 million people. If the Kurdish people get their place in Syria, for example if they are granted independent autonomous administration, of course there is a Kurdish federal region in Iraq, this thing will create a situation, so that it is said "In northern Kurdistan there are 20 million Kurds, why do they also not have the same thing?" Therefore, they have reached the conviction that the Kurds in northern Kurdistan will certainly demand autonomous administration, so it can reach a more dangerous and threatening level, and in this regard It can be said that it "amplified the problem, turned it into an issue of existence, and entered into the struggle against it." It also tried to show the Rojava revolution as part of the PKK, by following the approach that "the PKK is on the terrorist list of the United States of America and the European Union."  Now there are about 5 million people in NE Syria, which is a number equal to the population of a state, there is no organization, there is only local  autonomous administration, perhaps they are close to the ideas of leader Ocalan, but it is not correct to define it or consider it as part of the PKK, they apply this approach because it suits their goals.

They( enemies of kurds) practice the same approach against legal institutions in Turkey and eastern Kurdistan as well. They believe that they will be able to attack easily in this way. Therefore, they seek to eliminate the gains of the Kurdish people with such approaches and words, and what they fear is that the Kurdish people in Northern Kurdistan will certainly also demand their rights, they will not be able to hinder these demands, and they said, "They will divide our country and establish a terrorist state."

That is why they are trying to show the PKK and Rojava as the same thing. Well, there may be a relationship, but it is not the same thing. In the beginning, when leader Ocalan's movement is mentioned, then saying 'they will build a state' will not be correct, so these words are exactly the scenarios that were prepared on the table. Howeve, the thought and philosophy of leader Ocalan are against state building, and our movement that struggles according to leader Ocalan's thought and approach, has no plan to build a state, our goal is an independent position, we want to establish a system of autonomous administration based on a voluntary federal system.

We have not  plans to divide Turkey.

We do not have plan to divide Turkey, but rather we seek to transform Turkey into a democratic Turkey, and to build the unity of the ambitious Kurds through an autonomous system within the system of the Democratic Republic. In other words, we do not want to divide Turkey, but rather we want to build and strengthen the unity of the ambitious peoples in Turkey, and what is wanted From building unity through weapons, tanks, missiles, and planes, it is to transform it into an ambitious unity. For this reason, we protect this matter, so that everyone can live under his justice, right, law, and independence, and what we say about democratic self-administration is, in fact, this matter; That is, the unity of peoples based on equality and freedom, and this is our goal, and what our movement is being accused in this regard by the Justice and Development Party, the National Movement Party and some other forces and officials of the Turkish state with the concept of separation, which is baseless, as we are talking about the ideological and political line by which it is intended to build Ambitious unity. In fact, the danger of secession in Turkey is not present on our part. Rather, it stems from the growing mentality based on Turkification under the name of racism, and everyone who acts and adopts this mentality is separatists, and this is the reality of this matter.

*There is another statement of the AKP against your struggle, which is that you are fighting this war with the help of external forces. What do you say about such statements?

The dominant countries have always sought throughout history to obtain the support of external powers behind the cause and the legitimate demands of the Kurdish people. In Iran, when the people take to the streets with the slogan "Women, Life, Freedom", they declare that there are external forces behind this, and the Turkish state also, the demands of the Kurdish people, who are suffering from great suffering and marginalized politically and diplomatically, since the era of Sheikh Saeed onwards, have been linked to external forces, and massacres have been committed against the Kurdish people. They have resorted to doing and saying everything to justify the pretexts for their brutal attacks.

The basic fact in this regard is that the external powers stand by the Turkish state, as the Turkish state in the war it is waging against our movement has always obtained political and military support from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), and is still receiving this support until now, the support provided by NATO is not in the interest of the peoples in Turkey, because such a position shows that it supports and incites war. For this reason, this long-running war is not the war of peoples, but rather the war of those who support the violent policy of the Turkish state.

Today, everyone knows that the Iraqi airspace is under the control of imperialism, and it is also known that a part of the Syrian airspace is under the control of Russia and another part is under the control of America. Well, if America does not support Turkey’s attacks against us and does not help our movement, then how can the warplanes Turkish drones penetrate 250 kilometers into Iraqi territory. Well, why doesn't US do anything about Turkish planes? Because it mainly provides support for it, and again, for example, the relations of the United States of America with the forces of Rojava always remain the talk of the hour, we have all seen that the United States gave the green light to Turkey in 2019 to  attack Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî (Tal Abyad).

What is clear and evident in this regard; It is that the Turkish state has always relied on external forces, and wanted to eliminate the Kurdish movement, and it is doing the same thing at the present time, and it is not only doing that with the help of NATO, but it is making unremitting efforts to obtain support from Russia as well. Wasn’t the attack launched on Afrin with the support of from Russia? it provided all of Turkey's wealth to the world's superpowers, to obtain support against the Kurds, and sought to do everything in this regard and wants to re-establish the relations it is conducting with Syria again.

Besides this, statements are made by some circles, stating that your movement is the United States of America (DYE) project. On what basis do they say this, why do they claim that?

Obviously, there is an unscrupulous situation, they want to push all the great powers around the world against the movement, and thus eliminate the general Kurdish people, they claim that there is a relationship of the PKK with The United States or with other powers, and they claim that this is legitimate between them, when they do so, they are never ashamed.

I knew Dogo Brink and talked to him too, and everyone knows what kind of character he has turned into, at the moment, he is making it clear that he is against America, and our movement is a project of the United States of America, well, why does nothing happen to him when he claims that he is against America, but the United States is presenting A multi-million dollar reward for our arrest...? he is with the National Movement Party (MHP) that represents the Gladio organization of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), and shows voluntary rapprochement with the aim of joining the coalition through this project, so the truth is completely different,  all the claims of the AKP terrorists in this regard, are wrong and baseless. These allegations are all against morals and conscience.

In short, they are trying to receive support and aid from all over the world, with the aim of eliminating the Kurdish people.
