​​​​​​​AANES’ delegation meets political delegation in Denmark parliament

The delegation of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria included Dr. Abdul Karim Omar, the representative of the Autonomous Administration in Europe, and Dara Mustafa, the representative of the Administration in Denmark. The delegation of the Socialist People's Party included Karsten Hønge, deputy speaker of Parliament and member of the Parliament's Foreign Relations Committee, and Serdal Benli, chairman of the party's Foreign Relations Committee.

The two delegations exchanged views on the general situation in Syria, in addition to new developments regarding Russia's attempts to achieve reconciliation between Damascus and Ankara, and attempts to restore relations between some Arab countries with the Damascus government.

The Danish delegation touched upon on the AANES’ initiative for finding a solution of the Syrian conflict, which was announced on April 18, in addition to the Turkish threats that destabilize the region, the file of ISIS mercenaries in detention centers and the need to try them to achieve justice for the victims of terrorism, and the file of their families in the al-Hol and Roj camps, and the need the international community assumed its responsibilities by providing support to the Autonomous Administration in political, economic, security and military terms to stabilize stability in North and East Syria and to confront and eradicate terrorism from the region.

Views were close regarding all the issues that were raised, and the Danish delegation stressed their appreciation for the initiative of the Autonomous Administration and the need to find a peaceful way out of the crisis in Syria in accordance with UN Resolution 2,254, and it was agreed on the need to continue meetings and work jointly in the future regarding a political solution, and to confront terrorism that threatens all the international community.
