Protests in Rojhelat, Iran over poisoning of female students

Videos tapes showed Iranian security forces trying to calm people down and disperse them with false promises, while other pictures showed tear gas being thrown at people, according to the Women's News Agency (NUJINHA).

Mahabad's people began a protest by setting up roadblocks, setting fires and chanting slogans over poisoning of two schoolgirls.

Civil activists called for boycott schools today, (April 16), "We ask all parents, students and teachers, not attending school as a sign of protest against the chemical attacks and the lack of safety for the lives of female students.

On Saturday, at least 9 Iranian schools witnessed chemical attacks, that is why many students were sent to medical centers, these schools are located in the cities of Izeh, Sanandaj, Sarpol-e Zahab, Takestan, Urmia, Mahabad and Shahrquds, according to Iran International.

The continued poisoning of female students has angered citizens and parents.

The Iranian state, nearly 5 months after the start of the chemical attacks on schools and the poisoning of thousands of female students, did not take any measures to stop these attacks.
