Leader Ocalan's lawyers submit request to PPO to meet him

The lawyers of the leader Abdullah Ocalan submitted a new request to the Public Prosecution Office in the Turkish city of Bursa and the Imrali Prison Directorate in order to meet with him.

On Thursday, April 13, the lawyers of Al-Asr Human Rights Office (Rezan Sarija, Nowruz Uysal, Mazlum Deng and Fayq Ozkor Arol) submitted a new request to the Public Prosecution Office in Bursa, Turkey and the Imrali Prison Directorate, in order to meet with their client, leader Abdullah Ocalan.

The lawyers also submitted a request to the same authorities to meet with the other three Imrali detainees. Omer Khairi Konar, Hamili Yildirim, and Vesi Aktaş.

On Tuesday (April 11), the aforementioned lawyers submitted requests to meet the leader and his companions in Imrali.

The leader Ocalan, who has been detained in Imrali Island prison in the Sea of Marmara since February 15, 1999, has been subjected to strict isolation, as no information has been received about him or his three companions in prison for more than two years.
