Iranian authorities arrest activist Zainab Zaman

The Iranian state authorities arrested the feminist activist, Zainab Zaman, from the city of Niayish in Tehran, and took her to an unknown destination.

The Iranian state authorities arrested the feminist activist Zainab Zaman, who was among the first women to cut their hair to support the uprising (‘Jin, Jiyan, Azadî, Women, Life, Freedom), in Iran and the outrages of Kurdistan (east) that erupted against the background of the murder of the young Kurdish woman, Gina Amini. She was arrested by the morality police in September 2022, when she was taken to an unknown destination, according to Roj News Agency.

After Zainab Zaman was arrested, her husband stated that on April 8, the Iranian state authorities called Zainab and asked her to go to the security center.

He also informed her husband that Zainab was arrested on the same day, stating that the Iranian state authorities went to their house and searched it.

And the feminist activist Zainab Zaman is the daughter of the Iranian artist Hussein Zaman.
