Sulaymaniyah people aid reach Aleppo, Shahba

On Monday evening, 20 trucks of aid that were sent by the people of Sulaymaniyah a month ago, and the people of Kobani canton 8 days ago, arrived in al-Shahba canton.

On Tuesday evening, 10 trucks of this aid arrived in the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods in the city of Aleppo.

On March 6, aid trucks provided by the people of Sulaymaniyah to those affected by the February 6 earthquake entered northern and eastern Syria and went to the al-Tayha crossing, but they remained there until March 14, then they were withdrawn by the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria AANES, as a result of obstructing their passage to the other side by Damascus government.

After the decision to withdraw it from the crossing on the 14th of last March, this aid went again with two trucks provided by the people of Kobani to the al-Tayha crossing on the 29th of last March.

On the same day, the aid crossed the al-Tayha crossing to the other side (that is, to the areas of the Damascus government), but the Damascus forces seized quantities of it and imposed royalties on truck drivers, and then withheld the aid until they finally allowed it to pass to the earthquake-affected people in al-Shahba the night before yesterday (Monday). And for those affected in Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh yesterday evening.

This aid includes basic relief items such as food, clothing and blankets.

In this context, the administrator of the Martyr Line Council, Robar Qamishlo, Badran Hamo, explained that the trucks left Tel-Kocher on March 6, but they have arrived now, due to obstruction of their passage by the Damascus government.

Hamo thanked everyone who contributed to providing this aid to those affected by the earthquake, and said: "After the disaster that occurred, the needs of the people increased, and our people in Sulaymaniyah and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan did not fail, and they are very grateful."
