AANES reveals its position about latest developments on Syrian arena

The Deputy co-chairmanship of the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria AANES revealed the efforts of the rapid political developments in the Syrian arena, foremost of which are the efforts of the Arab countries to normalize relations with the Damascus government, and the latter's rapprochement with Turkey, stressing the stability of the Autonomous Administration's position on the Syrian crisis and its solution.

In highlighting the position of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, regarding the rapid political developments in the Middle East and the Syrian arena, and their impact on resolving the crisis and the Syrian people, Hamdan al-Abed, deputy co-chairmanship of the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, spoke to ANHA’s agency.

Far from the aspirations of the Syrian people for a political solution to end the Syrian crisis, diplomatic developments and movements have surfaced recently, described as the efforts of Arab and regional countries and countries intervening in Syrian affairs to float the Damascus government, despite all the changes that occurred in the country "geographically, politically, economically and militarily."

Hamdan al-Abed ruled out that these developments would be in the interest of the Syrian people, and in resolving the Syrian crisis, as much as it is in the interest of the Damascus government, which seeks to return the country to before the Syrian popular movement in 2011, and in the interest of the forces involved in the Syrian crisis.

Al-Abed believed that it is more appropriate for the Arab League, and the remaining regional and interfering countries in the secret matter, instead of seeking to reinforce al-Assad, to come out with a unified position on the basis of the initiative of the Kingdom of Jordan that it put forward to the Damascus government in order to solve the Syrian crisis through a political solution, and UN Resolution 2,254.

Regarding the position of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria regarding the developments of the Syrian crisis, Al-Abed stressed the Autonomous Administration's firm position on the crisis, and that its solution passes through the Syrian-Syrian dialogue, which the administration has always called for, except that the intransigence of the Damascus government impedes the wheel of a solution.

He said, "The Autonomous Administration has preserved the unity of Syria's land and people, and it calls for sitting at the dialogue table to resolve the Syrian crisis according to a Syrian constitution that is in line with the interests of the Syrians without excluding anyone. The solution to the crisis will only be in accordance with a Syrian-Syrian dialogue."

Al-Abed mentioned the Autonomous Administration's position on external interference, saying: "Since the beginning, we have 3 methods of rejection; it is neither external interference nor the division of Syria nor the Syrian fighting," with the Autonomous Administration's insistence on the need for all rapprochements from the Syrian crisis to be built on the basis of the unity of Syria's land and people, and a Syrian constitution gathers all the Syrian sects.

Al-Abed noted the danger of the accelerating rapprochement led by Russia between "the government of Damascus, Turkey, Iran and Russia," warning that it serves the interests of those parties in an attempt to export their internal crises, at the expense of the Syrian people.
