Israel shells Damascus for 2d day in row

"At exactly 12:17 am today, the Israeli enemy carried out an air aggression with bursts of missiles from the occupied Syrian Golan, targeting a site in Damascus countryside," a military source told an agency affiliated with the Damascus government.

The source added that "our air defenses shot down a number of missiles, and that the aggression led to some material losses."

Witnesses told Reuters that they heard three huge explosions in the Syrian capital, Damascus, early in the day.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that Israeli missiles targeted military sites of the Damascus forces and pro-Iranian groups in the area between Qatna and Jdeidet Artouz, southwest of the capital, Damascus, and successive explosions were heard in the area, caused by targeting a weapons and ammunition depot, while the Syrian air defense missiles were able to shot down one Israeli missile, on casualties have been reported so far.

Worth to note that it is the second Israeli attack within 24 hours, the sixth during this March, and the eighth time since the beginning of the new year 2023.
