Intellectuals: Abdullah Ocalan is the hope for revolutionary change

The Turkish occupation state has imposed absolute isolation against the leader Abdullah Ocalan for more than two years, continuing to the present day, despite his arrest for more than 24 years on the isolated island of Imrali and in difficult humanitarian conditions, and depriving him of his most basic rights as approved by international laws and covenants.

In the context of escalating the struggle and resistance to end the isolation and achieve the physical freedom of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, voices are being raised in Kurdistan, the Middle East and the world.

The intellectuals of Girê Spî canton denounced the silence and inaction of the international powers regarding the isolation, and their favoritism to the Turkish state.

The intellectual, Farhad Shukri, emphasized that "the philosophy and thought of the leader Abdullah Ocalan is the perfect solution to the issues and conflicts created by the authoritarian capitalist regimes that oppress their people, and drag them into their fabricated wars to achieve their despicable ends, and accordingly the thought and philosophy of the leader Ocalan were the basis for the struggle of the peoples of the region to get rid of the yoke." The Turkish occupier, who arrests the leader Abdullah Ocalan and his comrades, and practices his fascism in a flagrant manner in the 21st century.

Shukri stressed the need for the peoples of the region to raise the pace of struggle against all fascist and dictatorial regimes, and called on the international forces and concerned humanitarian and human rights organizations to assume the responsibilities they bear regarding the ill-treatment that leader Abdullah Ocalan and his comrades are subjected to in the prisons of the Turkish state.

As for the intellectual, Malik al-Hamiri, he stressed the necessity of insisting on demanding the physical freedom of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, through the escalation of the popular struggle among all the peoples of the region, and he explained that "this matter will only be by educating the people about the conspiracies that are planned against them aimed at continuing to control their destiny and their goods." ".

Al-Hamiri stressed that "the personality of the leader Abdullah Ocalan today represents a pioneering personality and the hope for revolutionary change at a very sensitive stage in the history of the region, which was and still is a theater of international and regional conflicts, and the consolidation of national states with the capabilities of peoples yearning for freedom."

Al-Hamiri wondered, why are laws and charters only ink on paper and not applied on the ground? Even if we assume, for the sake of argument, that we accept the claim of the fascist Turkish state to arrest the leader because he holds its nationality, then by what right does the detainee not be given his rights! And what laws do you adopt to prevent the leader from exercising his rights, such as visiting his family, having a lawyer for him, and defending him? In return for procrastination and continued arbitrary detention in an immoral and inhumane manner.
