​​​​​​​AANES hands 2 women and 3 children from ISIS families to Norwegian delegation

 Today, Tuesday, a Norwegian delegation headed by the Chargé d'Affairs of the Norwegian Embassy in Baghdad, "Eric Hussam", visited the regions of northern and eastern Syria, according to news published by the official website of the Department of Foreign Relations of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria.

 The delegation was received by the Deputy Co-Chair of the Department of External Relations, Rubel Baho, Khaled Ibrahim, a member of the Administration board in the department, and Lana Hussein, representative of the Women's Protection Units (YPJ).

 During the meeting, the two sides discussed the political situation in Syria and the need to resolve the Syrian crisis in accordance with United Nations Resolution 2254, and the humanitarian, economic and security situation in the region.

 He said, Rubel Baho: that the Autonomous Administration adopts the Syrian national dialogue as a basis for achieving stability and a just political solution, in the interest of all Syrians and preserving the unity of Syria, with the assertion that the unity of Syria begins with ending the Turkish occupation and its practices against the Syrian identity and against the Syrians without exception.

He called on: the international community to stop the violations taking place in the occupied territories, including killings, arrests and demographic changes, by the military groups affiliated with Turkey, the most recent of which was the execution of four people from one family on the eve of Nowruz day only, for setting fire to celebrate Nowruz.

 In turn, Eric Hussam thanked the Autonomous Administration for "the efforts it made in making this operation and previous operations a success, and we appreciate your support and all the efforts you make in serving the displaced and refugees."

 He added that Norway is closely monitoring the difficult political, security and humanitarian situation in the region.

 He stressed, “Norway will continue to provide humanitarian support to all Syrians, especially the regions of northern and eastern Syria, as Norway is one of the largest supporters of the humanitarian situation in the region.

 At the end of the meeting, two women and 3 children from ISIS families were handed over, according to an official handover document between the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria and Norway.
