Janders massacre represents organized genocide against Kurds in Afrin

The Syrian Women's Council condemned the Janders massacre, and affirmed that it is an organized crime against the Kurdish people in Afrin.

The Syrian Women's Council issued a statement condemning the Janders massacre, which was committed against 4 people on the eve of Newroz (March 20), by the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation state in occupied Janders; Under the pretext of lighting the flame of Newroz.

The statement read by Sophia Issa, the member of the Council's Organizational Office, in front of the Council's center located in the eastern section of the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in Aleppo, indicated that "Newroz is almost spent without the Kurdish people being afflicted with crimes that shame humanity," drawing attention to the Janders massacre, which was committed against four people from one family.

The Council added, "Afrin and its countryside are afflicted by the filthy racist practices of the occupation army and its mercenaries from the armed sectarian rebellion factions called the Syrian National Army."

The Council denounced this massacre, stressing that it is "an organized crime of genocide against the Kurdish people in Afrin."

The Council called on the international parties and organizations concerned with human rights to put an end to these terrorist practices, and called on the international forces to put pressure on the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries to withdraw from the entire territory of Afrin, expel the settlers from it, and return its original inhabitants to it.
