Mazloum Abdi: banner of our comrades will remain high

The speech of the Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi, came during his participation in the farewell ceremony for 9 martyrs of the Syrian Democratic Forces held at Sardam Stadium in Ghweran neighborhood in the city of Hasaka.

The documents of the 9 martyrs were read and handed over to their families after observing a minute of silence and a military parade, chanting (the martyrs are immortal)

The Commander-in-Chief consoled the families of the martyrs, and said, "We are proud of our martyrs, and all of our people must be proud of the greatness of these martyrs."

He added, "We salute all of our people who participate with us in this ceremony. When this painful incident occurred, many of our friends provided support, especially our brothers in Başûr, who helped us bring the bodies of our martyrs to NE Syria."

Abdi said: "Today we bid farewell to the bodies of the commander of the Anti-Terrorism Units, Şervan Kobani, and 8 of his comrades. Today we bid farewell to the bodies of 9 fighters who had a major role in the Rojava revolution, 9 vanguard leaders, who fought in many fields. We take the martyrs as the basis of our struggle, and we will continue their path until achieving their desired goals.

Abdi confirmed that the counter-terrorism units have a prominent role in eliminating ISIS mercenaries and pursuing their remnants, by saying, "In the name of the General Command of the Syrian Democratic Forces, we pledge our people to develop the struggle in NE Syria to defend the people and regions of NE Syria."

On this painful occasion, and in the presence of our great martyrs and all components of NE Syria, we call on all young men and women from all components to join the Syrian Democratic Forces and join the ranks of the anti-terrorism units to protect the security and stability of our regions. Abdi said that the flag raised by the martyr Şervan and his comrades will not be lowered, and we will raise it until the desired victory is achieved.

The farewell ceremony for the 9 martyrs continues, with the speech of the co-chair of the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, Abd Hamid al-Mehbash.
