​​​​​​​NE Syria's people head to squares for Newroz

Today, NE Syria and all their components, Kurds, Arabs, Syriacs, Assyrians, Armenians, Circassians and Turkmens celebrate in 11 centers.

ANHA correspondents in all regions of NE Syria reported that thousands of people went to the Newroz squares in each of the regions of al-Jazeera, Kobani, al-Shahba, Aleppo and Damascus.

The Newroz celebration squares were decorated with the Newroz 2023 slogan, pictures of the martyrs and leader Abdullah Ocalan's, in addition to the flags of the People's and Women's Protection Units (YPG-YPJ), the Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM), Kongra Star, the Council of Martyrs' Families, and colored ribbons in "green, red and yellow"

Thousands of old and young people, including Kurds, Arabs, Syriacs and Armenians, participate in the Newroz celebrations, each with its own character and wearing their national costume.

The people of occupied Afrin and al-Shahba canton celebrate in the village of Alousha in the al-Ahdath district, and in Aleppo in the Shaqif area, north of Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood.

The people of Al-Jazeera region, with all their components, went to 7 main arenas, which were prepared by the preparatory committees. In al-Hasakah canton, the people went to the celebration square in the eastern dam, and the people of al-Darbasiyah district to the village of Golbistan.

As for Qamishlo canton, the people of Qamishlo went to Newroz Square in Hemo village, the people of Dêrik went to Newroz Square in Borzi Dam, Girê Legê went to Newroz Square in Haliq village, Tirbe Spi went to Martyr Mazloum Dogan Square in Drejik, and Amuda went to Newroz Square in the village Jagger Bazaar.

In turn, the traffic police (traffic) organize traffic to reduce traffic congestion, and the internal security forces carry out their security measures to preserve the safety of arrivals to Newroz squares.

The Kurdish people and their friends in Damascus went to Al-Fayhaa Stadium, while the Kurdish community and their friends in the Lebanese capital, Beirut went to the two Rivers area in Beirut to celebrate Newroz.

The Newroz celebration program is scheduled to start at 10:00, with the lighting of the Newroz flame in all Newroz squares, and then the speeches of Newroz.
