Ain Issa people celebrate Newroz 2023

Today, the Culture and Art Committee of the Girê Spî Canton Council organized a celebration on the occasion of Newroz, in the Women's Park in the center of Ain Issa district, It was attended by hundreds of residents of the district and its countryside, and the IDPs from Girê Spî Canton.

Ain Issa district is one of the areas located on the frontlines with the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries in north and east Syria, after its occupation of Girê Spî / Tal Abyad in 2019.

The celebration began with the lighting of the Nowruz flame, by the co-chair of the Girê Spî Canton Council, Hamid al-Abed, Fadila Muhammad, and the debutyof the co-chair, Hazaa Muhammad, then the co-chair of the Canton Council delivered a speech in which she welcomed the attendees and blessed Newroz.

And Fadila Muhammad said:, "Thanks to the sacrifices of our martyr, we enjoy peace and stability, and we live in freedom to celebrate Newroz, the celebration of victory over oppression and tyrants".

She confirmed "This year's Newroz is crowned with the spirit of the heroic resistance fighters who sacrificed their lives for their people live in safety and stability on the basis of the philosophy and thought of the leader Abdullah Ocalan."

The co-chair of the Girê Spî Canton Council, Fadila Muhammad, stressed the need to strengthen the democratic project represented by the Autonomous Administration to reach a decentralized, pluralistic Syria.

After that, several artistic performances were presented, including "revolutionary and folk songs", by the bands "The Golden Crescent, Martyr Botan, Martyr Berçem, Martyr Hogir, Martyr Givara".
