Mass rallies in Kobani, Manbij, Tabqa on occasion of March 8

On the occasion of International Women's Day, women renewed their pledge to continue the struggle against the dominant masculine mentality, and their solidarity with the Rojhelat uprising and Iran with women's leadership, stressing that the solidarity of the world's women is the way for women to achieve their freedom.

Today, the cities of "Kobani, Manbij, Tabqa" in NE Syria witnessed massive marches led by women, under the slogan "Women, life, freedom, towards women's revolution", on the occasion of International Women's Day, which falls on March 8 of each year.

Thousands of women from various components, including Arab, Kurdish, Syriac, Circassian, and Armenian women, and representatives of civil society institutions, women's organizations, political parties, and military and security forces, participated in the marches, along with hundreds of men.

The participants, who wore their folkloric clothes, raised pictures of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, and banners that read the slogan "Woman Life, Freedom... Towards Women's Revolution", flags of women's organizations, and pictures of the martyrs "Hevrin Khalaf, Sakina Cansez, Hind Al-Khudair, and Saada Al-Harmas" and the Kurdish girl Gina Amini.

The march of the city of Kobani, which was adorned with Kurdish folkloric dress, started in front of the city's hospital, and stopped by the Kobani forest.

The women's march in the city of Manbij started in front of Al-Furat Hospital in the city, and stopped in the square of Al-Wadi Street.

While the march started in Tabqa city from the square of the first district in the north of the city, and stopped in front of the Culture and Art Center in the second district.

The participants chanted slogans and slogans such as "Long live the resistance of women, Jin, Jiyan, Azadî, long live the resistance of leader Ocalan."

The member of the Kongra Star Coordination in the Euphrates region, Amina Bakr, spoke in which she said, "From the city of resistance in which women defeated ISIS mercenaries, we say to all the women of the world, do not remain silent. Today is your day, and it is a historic day for us as women to prove to those who cling to the masculine mentality that we able to break the masculine mentality.

She added, "Women have made great strides in achieving freedom for their gender, specifically in our regions where women follow the path of leader Abdullah Ocalan," and she stressed, "This era will be the era of women's freedom, and an era in which women fail all international conspiracies." , breaking the bars of Imrali, and achieving the physical freedom of leader Ocalan.

Bakr noted that history returns to its normal course thanks to women who lead revolutions and societies and stand up to all tyrants, and in order to reach the path of victory, they must escalate the struggle further.

At the end of her speech, Amina Bakr renewed her promise to the martyrs that they will continue to struggle in the squares until freedom is achieved for all women.

In Manbij, the deputy co-presidency of the Executive Council in the Civil Administration of the city of Manbij and its countryside, Nora Al-Hamid, blessed, during her speech, the women of the whole world on this day, and the women of NE Syria in particular, and said, "They drew the path of freedom for the women of the whole world, these fighters who liberated the region from one of the most powerful terrorist organizations in history, and they established institutions, administrations and political parties.

She drew attention to the impact of the women's revolution in NE Syria on the women of the world, by saying, "The women in NE Syria have become an example to be followed in the whole world, based on the slogan (Women, Life, Freedom), to depict the women's revolution in Iran," and expressed the solidarity of the women of NE Syria with the women of Rojhelat and Iran against the authorities of the Iranian state.

The Democratic Union Party (PYD), Fawza Youssef said after congratulating on March 8, “This day is not only the day of women’s freedom, but rather the day of all those yearning for freedom, and we salute all the democratic men who call for women’s freedom, the first of which is the leader Abdul Allah Ocalan, the woman's friend whose philosophy and thought are writing a new history in NE Syria."

As for Tabqa, the spokeswoman for the Zenobia Women's Gathering in Tabqa, Samira Al-Habash, delivered a speech during which she indicated the importance of March 8 in the history of women's struggle against the dominant male mentality that primarily targets women within society.

Samira al-Habash pledged to the leader Ocalan and all the martyrs and martyrs of freedom, to "complete the path of struggle until the realization of the principles in which they believed, which are the principles of truth, goodness and beauty."

Al-Habash called on all women to move together for the sake of women's freedom, the physical freedom of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, and raising the level of struggle to protect the gains of the women's revolution in NE Syria from all attempts at masculine denial and marginalization and to oppose all forms of occupation, genocide and violence.

The three activities ended with the chanting of the slogan "Jin, Jiyan, Azadî".
