​​​​​​​On 8th anniversary of its liberation...  Tel Hamis people praise solidarity of components

 Today marks the 8th anniversary of the liberation of Tel Hamis district from ISIS mercenaries by the People's and Women's Protection Units in 2015. On this occasion, the district council organized today a memorial ceremony attended by hundreds of Tel Hamis residents and members of civil and military institutions in Qamishlo canton, in the cultural center hall.

 After a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs, a member of the district council, Ahmed Al-Jassem, stressed that the solidarity of the components during the crises and the attacks of ISIS mercenaries made the people of the region and its military forces victorious.  He continued: "Thanks to the philosophy of coexistence and the democratic nation, we were able to liberate Tel Hamis district with the help of its people and the people of northern and eastern Syria, hand in hand, and rally around its military and civil administration."

 For his part, the leader of the Syrian Democratic Forces in Tal Hamis, Agid al-Sakkar, saluted the resistance of the military forces and their efforts to defeat terrorism.

 At the end of his speech, he pledged to liberate all occupied areas by the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries, "We will liberate Afrin, Serêkaniyê, and Girê Spî from the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation, even if it cost us our lives."

 Ahmed al-Khalaf, a member of the Council of Martyrs' Families in Tel Hamis, pledged to follow in the footsteps of the martyrs until victory was achieved and all occupied areas were liberated.

In turn, the co-chair of the educational complex in Tel Hamis, Khalil Osman, blessed the anniversary of the liberation of Tel Hamis on all struggling peoples.  He praised the role of the military forces in maintaining security and safety.

 In conclusion, he stressed, "Let us join hands in the face of countries seeking to fragment the national cohesion present in the regions of north and east Syria, and let us form an impenetrable dam in front of all occupation plans."
