Al-Asr Office: Leader isolation must be lifted

Al-Asr Office issued a statement on the 24th anniversary of the international conspiracy against the leader Abdullah Ocalan.

The text of the statement read:

" First, we offer our condolences to the families of the victims who lost their lives in the two earthquakes that hit Bazargik and Albistan on the 6th of February, and wish a speedy recovery for the injured.

The cooperation and social solidarity that emerged in the face of these earthquakes strengthened our faith in this geography and its peoples."

 "This catastrophe revealed the painful consequences of the policy adopted by the authority. We are confident that our people will also overcome this disaster, we offer our condolences to the peoples of Turkey, Rojava and Syria, and to all the peoples who live in this geography, and we wish them safety."

"We do not receive any information about Mr. Abdullah Ocalan, who refers to the importance of social organization at every opportunity, nor about our other clients, Mr. Hamli Yildirim, Mr. Omer Khairi Konar and Mr. Weysi Aktash 23 months ago."

This situation, which is contrary to international laws, international conventions and global principles, persists at this stage in which we are witnessing great disasters in this way.

We experienced dire examples every day, as making legal concessions to continue the torture regime in Imrali put the country in a state of lawlessness. There is a government that considers social and democratic solutions a threat to it. It fears the law and humanitarian principles, this is what paves the way for the collapse, which turns into wounds that cannot be healed. So It must be realized that a decent life and social peace in the country can only be achieved through a peaceful solution to the Kurdish issue.

"It has been confirmed many times that there is only one interlocutor for this solution, and that is Mr. Ocalan, because he is the owner of theoretical and practical efforts, despite Imrali's circumstances. That is why the isolation system in Imrali must be ended. This is not only a legal issue, but it also represents the key to a social solution."

"The international conspiracy against Mr. Ocalan crossed the threshold of 24 years. However, Mr. Ocalan thwarted this plot, as it was unable to achieve its goals in eliminating his will, so they seek to continue it through the isolation regime in Imrali. But it is no longer possible to maintain the isolation regime in Imrali, which has been denying democratic unity for 24 years."

"No information about our clients has raised concern about their health and security situation, as they may be subjected to bad practices and torture to shed light on this situation, we present to the public opinion and the concerned authorities inspection and oversight report in Imrali Prison for the year "2022."
