​​​​​​​ Dirar: Political calculations of Turkish occupation state, Damascus government overshadows humanitarian calculations

 The co-chair of the Syrian Democratic Council, Riyad Darar, commented on the prevention of the Damascus government and the Turkish occupation state from crossing humanitarian aid to the Syrians affected by the recent earthquake, and on the reports that talk about the existence of conditions and restrictions for the Autonomous Administration to deliver aid.

 Darar said, "In short, this tragedy is suffered by all the people of Syria, since the affected are the Syrians from Daraa to As-Suwayda to the central region to Deir Ezzor and all of Syria, in Syria and in the regions of Gaziantep, Urfa, Jandris, Marea and Azaz, but the most painful of them is what the person does himself,  Among them is preventing the delivery of aid to the affected people, not knowing the needs of the affected people, and stealing aid, as happened in some places. This is what increases the suffering of the Syrians.”

 He noted that the Autonomous Administration worked according to the moral and humanitarian duty imposed on it by the stage, and did not fail to send aid, "but unfortunately the Damascus government and the interim government prevented it from crossing to the affected Syrians."

 Since February 8, the Turkish occupation state and the Damascus government have prevented the transit of aid allocated by the Autonomous Administration to the stricken Syrian regions, which are still waiting at the "Umm Jalud" and "Al-Tayha" crossings with both parties.

 He referred to the condition imposed by the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation state, saying, "It stipulated that all aid should enter from a Turkish side, and through the Turkish crossings. Everyone knows that aid cannot be entered into Turkey and then into the Syrian regions."

 He explained that the Syrian Democratic Council, the Syrian Democratic Forces, and the Autonomous Administration never considered politicizing the issue, and provided aid without any condition or restriction.

 He noted that the political accounts of the Turkish occupation state and the Damascus government overshadowed the humanitarian accounts, which left the Syrians vulnerable to death, saying, "We found nothing but stubbornness and reluctance. According to our observation, we find that the political accounts are greater than the humanitarian accounts that left our children under destruction and left them to die without any regard for human values."  The whole world, and Turkey on top of it, bears this."
