Turkish state sends mercenaries and gangs to Hatay

The city of Hatay witnessed great damage as a result of the recent earthquake that struck Northern Kurdistan, Turkey and northern Syria, and despite the decrease in the intensity of search and rescue operations, movements and military presence in the city have increased recently.

According to Yenî Yaşamê newspaper, after the earthquake, the city witnessed an increase in the presence of gangs, as they were brought from Northern Kurdistan, and it is not yet known why they were brought in in light of the lack of experience of these gangs in rescue operations, and their work is limited to roaming between neighborhoods.

People who look like ISIS mercenaries among the neighborhoods

In most of the neighborhoods of the city that were hit by the earthquake, there are people in military uniforms similar to the clothes of ISIS mercenaries, and it is not yet known who they are and what they do. They are not from the army, as it is well known that army units are not allowed to grow beards. However, it was noticed that no one is allowed to approach them or talk to them and ask them questions, just as it was noted that these gangs always go to the places where the press works and hinder their work and prevent them from covering.

As the newspaper itself confirmed, recently fabricated news spread about pickpocketing and theft, but the people assure that they were not subjected to any of the aforementioned.

Turkish gendarmerie kills

Regarding the crimes, arrests and violations that occur in the areas affected by the earthquake, the Jurists of the Age Association revealed in a statement that the Turkish army tortured and killed both Ahmet Gureşçî and Sabrî Gureşçî in the city.

After the statement, the Turkish police threatened the human rights activists in the association.

Military provocations

After declaring a state of emergency in the city, the military’s provocations to the citizens increased.
